Come "Hail" or High Water

After a shower and short nap we headed out to explore Dublin. The streets are crazy crowded with fast moving walkers. We are very close to Trinity College so many are students. The old broads didn't  move quite as fast but we held our own. The next picture is the Millennium Spire, locally known as the biggest waste of 5 million euros, as it is not a memorial and has no real meaning (it's pretty ugly). It's charming nicknames include, Stiletto in the Ghetto, the Stiffy on the Liffey, the Pole in the Hole, the Poker near the Croker, or the Spike in the Dike.

Those of you who followed our first Italy blog may recall the broads getting stuck in a freak hail storm outside the vatican. Well its happened again. Here's Deb plastered against a store front as we wait out the ice pellet barrage debating whether it was hail or sleet. Snow showers are expected over the next couple of days, but WHO CARES! We are here and it is grand. DK (Donnie Kyzer) asked why we booked a trip when it was going to be rainy. IT'S ALWAYS RAINY in the UK. LOL!!
